Launching of Low Energy Office (LEO Building) in Putrajaya, Malaysia

Putrajaya, Malaysia - The Low Energy Office (LEO), which is a showcase and demonstration project of Energy Efficiency Building in Malaysia were officially launched by Minister of Energy, Water and Telecommunication of Malaysia, Y.B. Dato' Seri Dr. Lim Keng Yaik on 25 June 2005.

Located in Putrajaya, the Federal Government Administrative Capital of Malaysia, the LEO building were designed to be a showcase building for energy efficiency and low environmental impact design.

The design of the building was set to achieve energy savings of more than 50% compare to traditional building in Malaysia. A typical new office building in Malaysia and ASEAN region, will have a Energy index of 200-300 kWh/m2year, for the LEO building, target were set on 100 kWh/m2year.

As one of the Energy Efficiency Equipment supplier of LEO building, Focus Dynamics was invited to participate in the launching ceremony as an Exhibitor in the Energy Efficiency Products and services Exhibition, which was held at the Level 7 of LEO building.

In the LEO building, Focus Dynamics Variable Speed Drives were used as a control tool to reduce the electricity consumption for the Air-Conditioning Systems. By controlling the Electrical motor output, Focus Dynamics VSDs able to reduce the Energy Consumption drastically during part load condition, which is the normal running load condition. Besides of Focus Dynamics VSD (Alphadrives & Maxidrive MX3 series), Focus Dynamics also presented its other range of products and services at the exhibition, including the softstarters (MS, StartMaster and QFE series), which is another Energy Efficiency products to reduce the starting current of electrical motor, where not only provide savings in Electricity Consumption, but also results in less Mechanical wear and tear, less maintenance and longer life span.

Further to that, Focus Dynamics had also presented its latest services, which is able to provide Energy Management solutions to the commercial buildings and Industries.
